The organ and timpani are among the concert hall’s most powerful instruments. For this unusual concert, Québec-born organist Isabelle Demers joins Vincent Vogel, principal timpanist of the Berliner Philharmoniker, for a programme that includes solo organ arrangements of music from John Williams’ Star Wars and Igor Stravinsky’s Firebird Suite alongside a new work by Oscar Jockel, former conducting fellow at the Karajan-Akademie and assistant to Kirill Petrenko.
