Steve Hackett’s timeless guitar work was woven throughout the classic Genesis albums of the ’70s. In recent years, he and his world class band have brought several of these albums back to concert halls to great acclaim. Many fans also asked for more of The Lamb’s songs to be included. What better way to celebrate the half-century of this remarkable album than to include a selection of Lamb Highlights alongside some of Hackett’s best solos and the essential Genesis Greats.

Hot on the heels of his most successful solo tour ever, Steve Hackett announced his Steve Hackett Genesis Revisited - Foxtrot at Fifty + Hackett Highlights tour in 2022. The tour marks the 50th anniversary of the legendary Genesis album Foxtrot which, in 1972, was pivotal in establishing the band as a major force in British rock.

Guitarist Steve Hackett joined Genesis in 1971, making his band debut on the Nursery Cryme album which enjoyed a greater commercial success in Europe than the UK. After extensive touring, the band were encouraged, by audience reactions, to further experiment with ever longer compositions and develop their ability to incorporate strong narratives. This, in turn, allowed frontman Peter Gabriel more opportunity to indulge in the theatrics which helped to raise the band’s profile.

Now, for 2024, Steve brings Foxtrot at Fifty to North America for a string of eagerly awaited dates following the huge selling UK 2022 tour. “I think Foxtrot was a terrific achievement for Genesis at that time,” says Steve Hackett. “I think there is not one weak track on the album, they all have their strong points and I’m really looking forward to doing the whole album live.”

Following his successful 2025 tour, Steve Hackett is delighted to treat his fans to another year of incredible guitar riffs, this time featuring Genesis' greatest hits and highlights from his solo career. Hackett is also delighted to introduce two new members of his band: Swedish keyboard virtuoso Lalle Larsson, who replaces long-time band member Roger King, and Felix Lehrmann, the German drummer who succeeds Craig Blundell. With the Best of Genesis & Solo Gems 2026 Tour, Hackett will be stopping off at some of Germany's most beautiful venues in May 2026.
