American keyboardist, composer, producer, and arranger  Jason Miles  has spent over 50 years as a pioneer in the music industry: he was Luther Vandross's musical director, worked with stars such as Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Chaka Khan, and Diana Ross, but above all, he was the architect behind the sound of Miles Davis's iconic albums— Tutu, Amandla , and Siesta —to which Miles pays tribute with his new recording project, 100 Miles for Miles Davis. This bold tribute is inspired by the time spent alongside his mentor in the year of his centennial celebrations .
