Broadway & Television star Telly Leung (Aladdin, Allegiance, Godspell, Rent, Glee, Warrior) delivers an intimate evening of personal stories and songs that chronicles his beginnings as a Chinese American child of immigrants in Brooklyn to his international career on stage and on screen. Audiences can expect to hear Broadway favorites by Stephen Sondheim, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Jerry Herman, and more, as well an eclectic collection of songs from pop artists like Billy Joel, Indigo Girls, and Whitney Houston. Music direction by Gary Adler (Avenue Q, Altar Boyz).

Broadway’s Telly Leung and Loren Allred (The Greatest Showman, Britain’s Got Talent) join the Festival Orchestra for a special night of both familiar and new music that will thoroughly entertain and enthrall you.

The 11th annual Night Of A Thousand Judys – the all-star Pride concert to benefit The Ali Forney Center written and hosted by Justin Elizabeth Sayre – will take place at Joe’s Pub on Monday, June 12. Called “a rambunctious, uproarious, unpredictable all-star concert” by The Wall Street Journal, Night Of A Thousand Judys will honor the iconic Judy Garland with special skits, tributes and songs from her legendary career as movie star, recording artist and stage performer.

An iconic musical of a generation, RENT is set in New York City’s East Village during the 1990s bohemian revolution. The story follows a group of young artists and friends struggling to survive, create, and love in the shadow of poverty, addiction, and the AIDS crisis. Laguna Playhouse’s production honors the beloved classic while experiencing the story through the lens of a filmmaker, with live onstage filming projected in real time-capturing the raw emotion, intimacy, and urgency of a community determined to live fully.
