With the ambitious masterpiece Kullervo, the young Jean Sibelius firmly established himself as Finland's undisputed national composer - now the work can be experienced here for the first time in decades. The concert is part of the concert series ROOTS , where Copenhagen Phil and Thomas Dausgaard trace symphonic music back to its folk music roots. This time the journey takes us to Finland, where primal power, myths, folk songs and symphony are closely connected.
