This Must Be The Place
Rhonda Sauce, more formally known for her distinctive vocal stylings, has been playing guitar and composing music for over fifteen years. This Must Be The Place is a one-night duo performance featuring a full set of unreleased original songs, heard publicly for the first time. Stripped to voice and guitar, the work moves seamlessly from tender intimacy to lyrical boldness, offering listeners a rare moment to witness the songs’ first life, fresh and unguarded. A performance that is both a debut and a declaration—sound and story in their purest form.

Toying with the detective fiction genre with a bizarre twist, the Postmortem series traces the investigations by a detective duo within a black-and-white cityscape as they roam in search of a mystery among vast memories and existential oblivion. Inspired by absurdist theatre, Roberto Bolaño’s “detective” poems from The Romantic Dogs, and the streets of San Francisco, these performances visualize a post-apocalyptic world at the convergence of abstraction and mundanity.
The first Postmortem premiered at Church of Clown, SF, in July 2025. Postmortem II reimagines and rearranges the scenario of the previous show, continuing the themes with more unexpected elements: love, robots, and dinosaurs.
