One of the most esteemed figures in the trumpet world, Reinhold Friedrich was 2nd Prize winner at the 1986 ARD International Music Competition, and has since enjoyed a stellar career both as a soloist and as a renowned pedagogue. In 2003, Claudio Abbado appointed him as Principal Trumpet of the Lucerne Festival Orchestra, where he is Artistic Director of the brass ensemble to this day. He visits Hong Kong this October for two programmes, starting with a fantastic chamber concert with the brass musicians of Hong Kong Sinfonietta. Spanning delightful works by Albinoni, Böhme, Bernstein and more, join us for a feast of great brass music which showcases the power, resonance and at the same time gentle lyricism of top-level brass-playing!
