Anna Lapwood herself says: "In recent years, I have increasingly stopped defining music by genres, and started thinking about what music brings joy to me and my listeners. The boundaries between genres are so flexible anyway, and it's really fun to experiment with blurring these boundaries even more." You can feel this joy in this concert as well, when she plays her transcriptions from the films "The Da Vinci Code," "Interstellar," and "Pirates of the Caribbean" (Hans Zimmer) and "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" (Alan Menken). Naheliegend also, die aktuelle Abo-Reihe Prinze Ÿ mit der Filmmusik zu Christopher Nolans Weltraum-Epos „Interstellar“ zu eröffnen. Damit ist auch gleich das von Chefdirigent Joseph Bastian konzipierte Thema des Konzerts vorgegeben: Musik und Technik. Die klangmächtige Symbiose eines Symphonieorchesters mit dem mechanischen Wunderwerk namens Orgel gelang 1886 Camille Saint-Saëns in seiner Orgelsymphonie. Da das Prinzregententheater über keine Orgel verfügt, kommt zeitgemäß ein digitales Modell zum Einsatz. Sergei Prokofjew wiederum schlägt den Bogen zurück zur audio-visuellen Schnittstelle. Dive into a space-themed musical odyssey complemented by a gourmet 5-course meal crafted by Master Chef alum Becky Brown. The event features an intimate setting that allows for a stellar blend of astronomy, music, and gastronomy. Attendees will have the privilege of meeting three astronomers who are not only passionate about the cosmos but also share a deep love for music. They will unveil the millennia-old connection between music and astronomy, sharing insights and secrets of the universe.

Highlight of the evening includes a performance by NASA astronomer Steve Bryson, known for his work in discovering Earth-like planets. He will enchant the audience with the theremin, playing alongside Salastina’s string quartet, and share insights from his scientific endeavors.
