Claire and Solange are two sisters who work as maids for a wealthy woman they call Madame. When Madame leaves the house, the two women rummage through the closet and, taking turns wearing Madame's clothes and jewelry, play the roles of mistress and servant. Madame is an obsession for the sisters, engendering ambivalent feelings of veneration and hatred, envy and admiration, until the game becomes increasingly dangerous and their fantasies of revenge become reality.
