The DSO is delighted to present again our two annual Children’s Chorus concerts — one in the fall and one in spring. These popular performances, often in collaboration with musicians of the DSO, showcase the incredible talents and artistic excellence of the young singers, all under the baton of the Artistic Director of the DSCC, Ellie Lin.

Celebrate in song as the DSCC joins the DSO for the third year. This fall recital will feature the chorus made up of auditioned singers in 4th through 12th grade from around the greater Dallas area.

Riveting. Virtuosic. Diabolical. Daredevil. Terrifying. Words that describe both Prokofiev’s Second Piano Concerto and Walton’s first symphony. The critic Harold Schonberg laid out the requirements for playing Prokofiev’s landmark work: “Steel fingers, steel biceps, steel triceps — a tonal steel trust.” (“…feats of prestidigitation from Denis Kozhukhin… ferocious energy… the octave leaps cast off as dizzyingly as any high-wire act” [BachTrack]). Meanwhile, Walton’s work premiered to critical acclaim for its commanding artistry and unflinching use of the power of the orchestra. Hang on to your seats for this one!

A special one-hour long family-friendly performance of our popular Christmas Pops concert featuring the Dallas Symphony Children’s Chorus. Come early and enjoy a variety of pre-concert activities for the kids!



Family Christmas Pops

The beloved holiday tradition continues with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra performing transcendent anthems, classical holiday favorites and sing-along carols. Your favorite holiday vocalists join the DSO and our choruses to bring a bit of Christmas magic to the Meyerson. Sprinkle in an appearance by you-know-who, a bit of snow and the joyous music of the DSO and there is nothing quite like it.

Christmas Pops

A true holiday favorite, this beloved comedy classic features renowned composer John Williams’ charming and delightful score performed live to picture by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Macaulay Culkin stars as Kevin McCallister, an 8-year-old boy who’s accidentally left behind when his family leaves for Christmas vacation, and who must defend his home against two bungling thieves.  Hilarious and heart-warming, Home Alone is holiday fun for the entire family!

Home Alone in Concert

Bring the whole family to celebrate the most wonderful time of year for one day only at Family Christmas Pops. With conductor Lawrence Loh and vocalists Jasmine Habersham and Reginald Smith, Jr., this special one-hour performance includes classic Christmas carols, pictures with Santa and so much more. Making things even more festive is the Dallas Symphony Children’s Chorus. It’s fun for the entire family and sure to create memories to cherish for a lifetime.
