One of the finest organ trios working today is becoming one of the longest-running. The trio, which has now been together for over 30 years, has been recognized for charting new ground with its synergistic playing and thoughtful music. They have over a dozen recordings, all of which display their distinctive sound, whether exploring the depths of jazz standards or playing their original compositions.

“One of current jazz’s finest small groups” (JazzTimes), the telepathic trio of guitarist Peter Bernstein, organist Larry Goldings, and drummer Bill Stewart is the longest-lived and most virtuosic organ trio in jazz today. Over their three decades as a band, they have taken the organ trio tradition popularized by Jimmy Smith, Jack McDuff and Larry Young in the 1960s into fresh territory, recording a dozen masterly albums that combine roiling bebop intensity, gentle ballad work and knotty fistfuls of funk. Their latest release is the 2018 Pirouet album Toy Tunes.

Throughout his 54-year career, three-time GRAMMY Award-winner John Scofield has detoured several times from the traditions of straight-ahead jazz, exploring a blend of funk and jazz that has led to some of his most popular projects. In late autumn of 2026, Scofield will perform Electrospective, a fresh look at his now-classic fusion groove compositions after several decades. Scofield will team up with a stellar band of colleagues, including Scofield alum and super funk drummer/producer Adam Deitch (Lettuce), the multidimensional Larry Goldings (Scary Goldings, James Taylor) on keyboards, and legendary bassist Oteil Burbridge (Dead & CO., Tedeschi Trucks, Allman Brothers).
