Walburga Stromminger is known early on for doing what not even the boys her age dare to do. In full view of everyone, she takes a vulture's nest from a rock face and becomes, to her father's great pride, the strongest girl far and wide. The vulture that from then on never leaves her side also gives her her nickname: Geierwally. Years later, her father decides whom she is to marry; Wally refuses, is banished, and in the mountains finds a radical self-determination. Wilhelmine von Hillern's novel in a stage adaptation by Julia Prechsl.
