Oscarshall

Strauss’ final songs from one of our foremost sopranos. It is a delight to welcome TrondheimSolistene back to Bergen. This time they are joined by Elisabeth Teige, who in recent years has enjoyed a meteoric career at the leading international opera houses in the musical worlds of Wagner and Strauss. On the program is Strauss’ immortal Vier letzte Lieder, one of his last completed works — and, of course, Morgen. To bring us back down to earth, TrondheimSolistene perform Gustav Holst’s folk-music-inspired St Paul’s Suite, as well as Beethoven’s String Quartet in F minor, in an orchestral version.
