Cub & Wolf believe in the happy accident, the unfinished song, and the perfect noise. The lo-fi aesthetic of the 90s shines through the songs and productions of the band's three full-length albums, where softer, folkier songs clash with rowdier tracks drawn from early Dinosaur Jr. Fuzz, guitar solos, and loud-quiet-loud dynamics are promised. Their latest release, "They Were Honest Mistakes," is released tonight. Poetry reflects on feelings of dissonance, frustration, and anxiety and rewrites them into something cathartic and vibrant. Their music offers a place of solace amid chaos and beauty in confusion, highlighting the glimmers of optimism in a reality far from poetic. The four Malmö-based friends weave a cacophony of genres into their sound, with a more apparent kinship to bands like Sonic Youth, The Strokes, and Placebo. Poetry is hard-hitting indie at its best: raw, relentless, and unmistakably honest. Age limit 18. Ages 13 and up in the company of a parent or guardian.
