Lumière

To flee their homeland, devastated by drought, famine and war, two boys make their way to the coast. They hope to set out to sea aboard a smuggler's boat and head north. Between fragile beauty and stories of migration, the bodies tell of exile, hope and encounter. Inspired by choreographer Muriel Merlin's childhood in Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni in French Guiana, Écume invites us on a poetic and socially engaged crossing. Based on the children's picture book by Sandrine Kao.

Théâtre KOKOLAMPOE

3rd installment of the trilogy Les Noctambules by Alfred Alexandre. Late at night, in the now-empty bar: the proprietress and the bouncer seek each other out, lose each other, and find each other again.

Le Patron – Residency Showing

Mère Prison by Emmelyne Octavie, Cie Atoumo Prod (French Guiana, Caribbean, Burkina Faso). Twice a week, she catches the bus and her courage, ties the latter to her hips, and goes to the visiting room. On Tuesday, for her first son. On Thursday, for the youngest. The third son waits for her at home. How far will this woman, caught between work, the bus, the visiting room and reproaches, be willing to go?

Mère Prison

Cie Les voleurs de Soleil (Guyane). A production by Athol Fugard. John, a political prisoner, and Winston, a common-law prisoner, share the same cell and rehearse Antigone to perform it for the other prisoners.

The Island

The Touloulou carries within it one of the driving forces of carnival: the reversal of roles. Masked and spectacular, the woman who embodies it becomes, through her dance, her costume, her boldness and her power to choose, one of the queens of the festivities. It is a freedom that also demands courage: stepping into the game, taking risks, and sometimes provoking unrest.
