When Princess Gulltopp disappears on Christmas Eve, the king, in his despair, curses the Christmas star itself. The star goes out, and with it the light and hope of the land disappear. Many years later, the girl Sonja grows up without knowing who she really is. She hears the story of the Christmas star and decides to set out on a perilous journey to find it and bring the light back. Along the way she meets both friendly helpers and dangerous adversaries, including the powerful witch and the cunning count, who do everything they can to stop her. Journey to the Christmas Star is a beautiful Christmas fairy tale filled with suspense, warmth and recognizable characters, a story about courage, hope and finding your way home.
