Acting as unruly colonial subjects, Puerto Rican artists Natalia Lassalle-Morillo and Sofía Gallisá Muriente uncover the histories of Puerto Rican collections held at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., and question the broader logics of possession and preservation that shape archives and museums around the world.
