To mark the end of our musical semester, we celebrate the conclusion together with all of the choirs at the Taborkirche. The concert has been cancelled and will be rescheduled; the new date will be announced later.

Summer Concert

Taborkirche

Timed to coincide with the astronomical start of summer on July 21, we celebrate the Fête de la Musique in the green garden of the Mendelssohn House! Together with the children of our early music education program, along with parents and friends, we will make music on this day, marking the world's largest music festival. We warmly invite everyone to join in singing and to listen, especially our youngest listeners between the ages of 2 and 5.

Fête de la Musique

Mendelssohn-Haus

As every year, we festively usher in the Advent season in the Upper Promenade Hall of the Neues Rathaus. What began as a wish for all the choirs of the Schola Cantorum to sing and make music together has since become a labor of love and a Leipzig tradition.

Opening of the Advent and Christmas Season

Neues Rathaus Leipzig

To kick off the busy Christmas season, the Schola Cantorum has invited audiences to an evening of music in the Upper Promenade Hall of the Neues Rathaus every year since 2015. This evening, the seven choirs of the Schola Cantorum present a varied program of Christmas music.

Opening Concert for the Advent and Christmas Season

To close the concert year, the Children's Choir and the Sparrows Choir of the Schola Cantorum invite you to an atmospheric musical Advent evening for the whole family. With familiar melodies, festive choral sounds and songs for everyone to sing along to, the evening creates a warm, festive atmosphere that puts you in the mood for the upcoming Christmas days.
