**Overview:**
BUST is a groundbreaking, form-defying new drama that promises to be a laugh-out-loud experience with a deep and poignant message. Written by Pulitzer-Prize finalist playwright Zora Howard and directed by Lileana Blain-Cruz, this world premiere is a co-production with Goodman Theatre and produced in association with Sonia Friedman Productions, Khaliah Neal, and Thomas Swayne.

**Synopsis:**
The play unfolds on a typical evening with Retta and Reggie enjoying their time on the porch, when their longtime neighbor encounters a police stop just before reaching his driveway. What starts as a routine incident spirals into an unexpected and surreal examination of freedom and the cost of being Black in America. Through humor, spectacle, and surrealism, BUST interrogates these themes under the masterful direction of Lileana Blain-Cruz, acclaimed by The New York Times for her ability to curate chaos.
