You’ve got to love someone who taught grade school, bartended and then — with talent and determination — went on to produce top selling albums and national tours. That someone is Amos Lee, whose popular blend of folk, rock, and soul have made him a favorite here in Nashville, and across the country. It’s been worth the wait and now you can hear him in a “back by popular demand” performance with the Nashville Symphony.

From the bombastic and epic, to the folky and mystical, Get The Led Out (GTLO) have captured the essence of the recorded music of Led Zeppelin and brought it to the concert stage. The Philadelphia-based group consists of six veteran musicians intent on delivering Led Zeppelin live, like you’ve never heard before. Utilizing the multi-instrumentalists at their disposal, GTLO re-create the songs in all their depth and glory with the studio overdubs that Zeppelin themselves never performed. When you hear three guitars on the album…GTLO delivers three guitarists on stage. No wigs or fake English accents, GTLO brings what the audience wants…a high energy Zeppelin concert with an honest, heart-thumping intensity.

About</a>	<div>	<div>	Following on the huge success of "Beethoven v. Coldplay," "Brahms v. Radiohead" is conductor Steve Hackman's epic symphonic synthesis of Radiohead's album OK Computer and Johannes Brahms' First Symphony, utilizing a full 70-piece orchestra and three pop vocalists.The piece stays in the romantic sound world of Brahms, using only the instruments he would have used to debut his Symphony, but woven in, superimposed, and inserted are the melodies and music of Radiohead. At times we hear the melodies and words of Radiohead suspended over Brahms’ original music; at times we hear the orchestra playing the music of Radiohead but with the dense counterpoint of Brahms. Every combination is explored, and we constantly move from one to the other — but the piece is seamless and many times the audience is left wondering which is which, and how the combination was even possible.

Multitalented composer/arranger/storyteller/mezzo-soprano Mary Bichner debuts with the Southwest Florida Symphony this season, adding new twists to old yuletide favorites at the orchestra’s traditional Holiday Pops Program, playing at a theater near you! Mary’s breadth of vocal styles will transport audiences from Broadway to the great opera houses of the world, popular music clubs, and even to the warmth of carol singing in your living room, surrounded by family and friends.
