The struggle for peace begins with one boy. The gods of Asgard send the infant Skjold to a land torn by war and unrest. Skjold grows up under the care of the seeress Sasgerd and the warrior Gunnar, who are to prepare him for the future. Skjold is destined to become king and bring peace and prosperity. A performance about fate, courage and a kingdom without a king.
