- **Gabriela Martinez:** A Venezuelan pianist celebrated for her lyrical playing and compelling interpretations, Martinez brings a touch of elegance and magic to the stage.
- **Osip Nikiforov:** A Russian pianist trained by world-renowned musicians, Nikiforov is a prize-winning artist known for his remarkable technique and expressive performances.
- **Szuyu Su:** Hailing from Taiwan, Su is a decorated pianist with accolades from prestigious competitions and institutions, currently pursuing her doctorate in piano performance.

Join us for an evening of exceptional music at the Solo Piano Competition Winner Recital, featuring the remarkable talents of 2023 fellow Szuyu Su. This highly anticipated event is part of the Piano Spotlight Series and will take place at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, June 12th, at the prestigious Hahn Hall.

Szuyu Su, a distinguished pianist from Tainan City, Taiwan, has earned accolades for her extraordinary skill and musicality. Having begun her piano studies at the age of four, Szuyu has since flourished into a world-class musician with degrees from the Curtis Institute of Music and The Juilliard School, and is currently furthering her education with a doctorate in piano performance at Rice University under the guidance of Jon Kimura Parker.

As the winner of the 2023 Solo Piano Competition at the Music Academy of the West, Szuyu's performance is eagerly awaited. Her recital will include a commissioned world premiere by Anthony Cheung, promising an evening of groundbreaking music and breathtaking artistry.

If you love shows like “American Idol” but wish there was a classical version – we have an event for you. In this performance competition, a panel of legendary artists weigh in on competing solo piano fellows. The stakes are high, with the winner’s package including a cash prize, recital opportunities, and a commission by notable composer Anthony Cheung. And you have a front row seat.
