Navasard Hakobyan, a baritone with a rapidly rising profile, has captivated audiences with his powerful performances and is a studio member with Houston Grand Opera. His accolades include winning the 3rd Prize at the 2023 Operalia World Opera Competition and the coveted 2023 Marilyn Horne Song Competition. His upcoming season highlights include roles in Madama Butterfly with Houston Grand Opera, Romeo et Juliet with Dallas Opera, and a house debut with Dresden Semperoper.

Brian Cho, a pianist known for his exquisite collaborative skills, hails from Toronto, Ontario. As a vocal piano fellow at the Music Academy of the West, he was a winner of the Marilyn Horne Song Competition. Cho's dedication to his craft has been recognized through various prestigious fellowships and nominations, making him a sought-after accompanist and coach.

The recital will feature a commissioned WORLD PREMIERE by Joel Thompson, promising an evening of groundbreaking musical exploration and artistic excellence. This event not only celebrates the achievements of these remarkable artists but also continues the legacy of Marilyn Horne in promoting the art of song.
