Three generations. Timeless ballads. One unforgettable story.

From award-winning singer-songwriter Finn Anderson (‘Islander’ (Southwark Playhouse Borough, Off Broadway), ‘Streets’) and West End director Tania Azevedo (‘&Juliet’, ‘But I’m a Cheerleader’), Ballad Lines is a heart-opening new musical that shines a light on identity, belonging and the stories we choose to carry with us.

Sarah thought she’d left her childhood behind. A queer woman living in New York City, she’s long severed ties with the folk traditions of her upbringing. But when old ballads resurface, so do the voices of her ancestors — pulling her on a life-changing journey across time.

UNCLE Elephant and Castle

Staged with a contemporary folk-inspired score and epic storytelling, two performers reveal a world of characters, live-mixing and layering their voices to create a dazzling, unexpected soundscape as dramatic as the Scottish coastline. Eilidh is the only child on Kinnan Island, where most of the dwindling population has moved to the “Big Land.” As the island’s residents debate its future, a baby whale beaches itself, and Eilidh discovers a mysterious girl along the shore. This modern myth takes audiences on a journey that transcends loss, recovers hope, and finds community.

Seattle Rep

This special concert invites you to experience the fascinating world of the Italian Baroque from a new perspective. At its heart are the elegant trio sonatas of Giovanni Benedetto Platti, whose refined musical dialogue among oboe, cello and harpsichord creates an atmosphere full of warmth, expressiveness and refined tonal colors. The program is complemented by two striking sonatas by Antonio Vivaldi, whose passionate melodies, virtuosic lines and emotional depth unfold the full brilliance of the Baroque. For a surprising and exciting change of perspective, John Mayrose contributes his work "Vivaldiana" (2004).
