Under the direction of Edwin Outwater, Stewart Copeland’s Police Deranged for Orchestra is a high energy orchestral evening featuring more than two dozen SFCM students who join the legendary drummer to perform his unique "derangements" of classic songs from his iconic band The Police. This concert will be an evening bursting with hits including Roxanne, Don’t Stand To Close To Me, and Message in a Bottle as well as celebrating Copeland’s long career in the music industry.

A-List rock star Stewart Copeland enjoyed remarkable success with The Police, and is one of the greatest drummers of all-time, a multi-Grammy winner, and a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer. Having played drums for Curved Air from 1975 to 1976, he went on to drive The Police to world domination between 1977 and 1986 before composing Hollywood soundtracks, writing books, forming a supergroup, making films, and composing for ballet, opera, and classical music.

 the West Coast premiere of his first oratorio, Satan's Fall. Inspired by John Milton's 17th-century epic poem Paradise Lost, Copeland turns the literary struggle between God and Satan into a large-scale work
 featuring a chorus, seven vocal soloists, and chamber orchestra.
