Experience the timeless magic of "FIDDLER ON THE ROOF" at the North Shore Music Theatre, a heartwarming production that celebrates life, love, laughter, and tradition. Set against the backdrop of the little village of Anatevka, the story unfolds around Tevye, a poor milkman, and his five daughters. Amidst the changing social mores and the growing anti-Semitism of Czarist Russia, Tevye strives to protect his daughters and instill in them traditional values. This beloved musical, rich in historical and ethnic detail, transcends boundaries with its universal theme of tradition, resonating with audiences across race, class, nationality, and religion.

Featuring iconic songs like "Tradition," "If I Were a Rich Man," "Sunrise, Sunset," and "Matchmaker, Matchmaker," this classic Tony and Oscar-winning musical boasts a book by Joseph Stein, music by Jerry Bock, and lyrics by Sheldon Harnick. Directed and choreographed by Robert W. Schneider, with associate choreography by Josh Assor and music direction by Miles Plant, the production promises an unforgettable experience.

Join us from June 4 to June 16, 2024, for a journey through the vibrant and tight-knit Jewish community of Anatevka. The show runs approximately 2 hours and 45 minutes, including an intermission, and is recommended for all audiences, though it contains lightly staged violence and prejudicial persecution. We encourage patrons to use their judgment based on personal sensibilities and the maturity level of accompanying children. Please note, no children under the age of 4 will be permitted in the theatre.

Ticket prices start at $70, with group rates available for parties of 10 or more. Special discounts include 50% off full-priced tickets for kids aged 4-18 at all evening performances and $25 student rush tickets available one hour prior to curtain time for all main stage musical performances, subject to availability.

An original adaptation based on Charles Dickens’ classic novella, A CHRISTMAS CAROL is a musical ghost story following the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge (played by David Coffee returning for his 29th holiday season) through a series of strange and magical journeys, where he ultimately discovers the true spirit of the holiday season.
