Fronted by singer/songwriter Sammy Rae, the group has honed their craft through years of touring, flourishing in any spotlight with their signature blend of palpable chemistry, deft virtuosity, and vocal fireworks. Their sound, a unique mélange of classic rock, folk, funk, soul, and jazz, has attracted thousands of new fans in recent years.

Sammy Rae's journey began when she moved to NYC from Connecticut in her early 20s. Without a built-in peer group, she created her own: the literal and proverbial Friends. She ensured that her audience felt like part of the family too. This inclusive approach has led to a series of successful EPs, including "The Good Life" (2018) and "Let's Throw a Party" (2021), and sold-out shows across North America, the UK, and Europe. High-profile festival sets at events like Bonnaroo, Sound on Sound, and Green River Fest have further solidified their reputation.

As they prepare for the release of their long-awaited debut full-length album in 2024, Sammy Rae & The Friends have come to represent more than just a band; they are a full-on movement embraced by a refreshingly diverse clientele.

The Music of Crosby, Stills and Nash is the 19th annual "Music Of" benefit. 100% of net proceeds go towards music education for underserved youth. The all-star lineup includes Shawn Colvin, Steve Earle, Neal Francis, Guster, Iron & Wine, Sarah Jarosz, Rickie Lee Jones, Joseph, Taylor Meier (of Caamp), A.C. Newman, Aoife O’Donovan, Grace Potter, Sammy Rae, Real Estate, Todd Rundgren, Yola, and Music Will.

NPR Music, the Boston Globe and American Songwriter alike have dubbed her an artist to watch in 2022.
