Hosted by the incomparable Dee Dee Bridgewater, this year’s two-day festival features performances by Eliane Elias, Endea Owens, Ingrid Jensen and the Center Song Project, Julia Keefe’s Indigenous Big Band, and more phenomenal women leading today’s jazz scene.

Hosted by visionary curator Deborah Grace Winer, Songbook Sundays returns to Dizzy’s Club with an evening honoring one of the most iconic duos in the history of show standards. Many know Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein for the enduring brilliance of Oklahoma!, Carousel, The King and I, and The Sound of Music– all of which receive inventive reimagining from each new generation of Broadway creators. But few understand the depth of their commitment to addressing social issues through music, lyrics, and character development. Don’t miss this exploratory evening that features a roster of intergenerational talent: Karrin Allyson, Jenn Gambatese, and Tyreek McDole.

Makaya McCraven has "quietly become one of the best arguments for jazz’s vitality" (The New York Times). The Paris-born, Massachusetts-raised, Chicago-based drummer, composer, and producer is a multi-talented "cultural synthesizer" whose inventive process and intuitive, cinematic sound defies categorization. Composed and produced over the past 7 years, Makaya presents his latest project, In These Times, his most ambitious and personal album to date that topped Billboard Charts and made "Best Of" lists for NPR, LA Times, and The New York Times.
