Celebrate the festive season in style with the sensational Down for the Count Swing Orchestra as they head to Cadogan Hall for their much-loved annual show, Swing Into Christmas!

This is a Christmas spectacular like no other as Down for the Count’s 30-piece big band with strings is one of the largest swing bands currently touring the UK. Directed by conductor and compère Mike Paul-Smith and featuring some of the UK’s top vocalists and instrumentalists, the Orchestra recreates the sounds of Nat ‘King’ Cole, Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday in a uniquely joyful and engaging performance which has endeared the ensemble to audiences up and down the country.

Kevin Cole returns home to the Great Lakes Bay Region to perform the world premiere of his latest tour. With a full concert of back-to-back performances with the Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra, including Taking No Chances On You, a piece Cole wrote with an Ira Gershwin lyric. Experience a spectacular lineup of Hawai’i-born divas, including the mesmerizing songstress Lea Almanza, the jazzy Starr Kalahiki, the incomparable pianist Lady Laritza La Bouche, and the legendary Brandy Lee. They will be performing a diverse range of music from operatic favorites to traditional mele and the stirring notes of Rachmaninoff’s second piano concerto. 

The evening will be hosted by the renowned Hawai’i performer Cocoa Chandelier, with a special appearance by the Gay Men’s Chorus of Honolulu. Under the baton of conductor Dane Lam, the program will feature an array of compositions including Verdi’s "Libiama ne’ lift calici" from La Traviata, Edith Piaf’s "La Vie en Rose", Rachmaninoff's "Piano Concerto No. 2", and many more, promising an eclectic mix of classical and contemporary music.

Cole Porter Revival
Grammy nominee Helen George (Call The Midwife; Cinderella) stars in Cole Porter's legendary feel-good musical, High Society, on an epic 20-date UK tour following a gorgeously re-imagined revival at London's Barbican. Directed by Rachel Kavanaugh (Clueless The Musical), the revival features choreography from Anthony Van Laast CBE (Kate Bush; Sister Act) and musical backing from a full orchestra, lead by music supervisor Stephen Ridley. Originally premiered in 1997, the musical is based on 1939 play The Philadelphia Story and its 1956 film adaptation starring Bing Crosby, Grace Kelly and Frank Sinatra.
