Join us for an evening of exceptional trombone performance by Holden Welch, a talented Bachelor of Music student under the guidance of Michael Mulcahy. This recital is set to take place on Monday, May 20, 2024, at 8:30pm CDT in the Mary B. Galvin Recital Hall, located within the prestigious Ryan Center for the Musical Arts at Northwestern University.

The program promises a diverse and captivating selection of pieces, including Derek Bourgeois' Trombone Concerto, Op. 114a, Frank Martin's Ballade, and original compositions by Holden Welch himself, such as the Trombone Sonata and "No Longer Mourn for Me." The evening will conclude with a special arrangement of Andrea Bocelli's "Time to Say Goodbye" by Holden Welch, showcasing his versatility and creativity as both a performer and arranger. Accompanying Holden on piano will be Yoko Yamada-Selvaggio, adding depth and harmony to the performance.

The tour will feature performances from Bocelli’s beloved repertoire, including selections from his uplifting solo album Believe, as well as a selection of arias, his beloved crossover hits, and famed love songs.

Iconic Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli announced new 2024 North American tour dates in February and April. The new tour includes eleven show dates in major cities across the US and Canada including a Valentine’s Day stop at Gas South Arena on Saturday, February 17th at 8 PM. He will be joined by the famed Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. The April tour will see Bocelli return to Toronto for his first performance in 15 years with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, as well as a return to Milwaukee with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and to Indianapolis with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. All shows will be conducted by Maestro Steven Mercurio.
