Take a stroll through the chamber music of French composer Lili Boulanger. The gentle opening of the Nocturne invites the listener into the lush sonic world of her music. The piano trio is taut and dramatic and is followed by a playful work for flute and piano. The showpiece is the sensuous song cycle of 13 songs for high voice.

Seven Memphis Symphony stars, including Adrienne Park, piano, Barrie Cooper, violin, David Carlisle, marimba, and Andre Dyachenko, clarinet, are joined by tenor Jos Milton in an eclectic program of varying instrumental combinations, and ending with Schubert’s rollicking Trout Quintet. A true extravaganza!
