The Chamber Series is designed to showcase the artistry of Lansing Symphony musicians in a special setting and to introduce audiences to talented artists and classical programming. All Chamber Series concerts are performed at Molly Grove Chapel at First Presbyterian Church of Lansing.

Chamber 03: Flute, Viola, & Harp Trio

This special concert features a world-class, professional woodwind quintet — flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, and horn — and Alan Chapman, host of KUSC-FM radio, who will narrate Peter and the Wolf by Sergei Prokofiev. Other works on the program are Carmen Variations by Georges Bizet, Animalogy by local composer Adrienne Albert, The Entertainer by Scott Joplin, The Pink Panther by Henry Mancini, and excerpts from Quintet by Jacques Ibert.

Orchestra Nova LA performs a newly revised work by American composer Adrienne Albert. Albert says the lyrical orchestral work "honors the young men and women who have fought so valiantly in the name of our country—from the Civil War to today’s senseless wars."
