Join us for an evening of exceptional cello performance by Canon Shibata, a talented Master of Music student under the tutelage of Hans Jørgen Jensen. This recital is set to take place on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at 8:30pm CDT in the Regenstein Master Class Room at the Bienen School of Music, Northwestern University.

Canon Shibata will be accompanied by Liang-yu Wang on piano, presenting a captivating program that includes Robert Schumann's Fantasiestücke, Op. 73, Toshiro Mayuzumi's Bunraku for Solo Cello, Astor Piazzolla's Le Grand Tango, Fazil Say's Cello Sonata Four Cities, Op. 41, and Mstislav Rostropovich's Humoresque, Op. 5.
