From Duke Ellington’s swirling jazz-ballet harmonies to the propulsive tango-noir rhythms of the New York City subway, to George Gershwin’s dizzying Parisian fever dream, you’ll want to look both ways before you cross the street—and hold on tight, because tonight’s program doesn’t stop for red lights. Our very own principal pianist Alexander Sandor joins us in the hot seat for this all-American jazz joyride.
