Immerse yourself in the cool, blue waters of the Weidner Philharmonic’s oceanic performance! This multimedia program features atmospheric lighting effects and recordings pulled from aquatic habitats to complement the music. By turns meditative and mysterious, this music explores the nature of water, its power, and our relationship to it.

Pacific Symphony Youth Wind Ensemble welcomes special guest artists, Dr. Dustin Barr and Dr. James Tapia in a program featuring an exciting array of 20th and 21st century works, including music of Grainger, Bernstein, Shapiro, Mackey and more.

Join us in celebration for the retirement of Prof. Jerry Luckhardt and his tenure at the University of Minnesota-TC. This concert will feature guest speakers, archival materials, and a performance filled with repertoire that is special to Prof. Luckhardt, including: Giovanni Gabrieli’s Canzona per Sonare No. 2, Shelley Hanson’s Albanian Dance, H. Owen Reed’s Michigan Morn, Gustav Holst’s Second Suite in F, Alex Shapiro’s Depth, Jonathan Newman’s Blow It Up and Start Again, J. P Sousa’s Minnesota March, Frank Ticheli’s Rest, and Dmitri Shostakovich’s Folk Dances, transcribed by H. Robert Reynolds. This performance will be one you will not want to miss.
