The Maroon and Gold Band and Wind Symphony finish the year with a celebration of our graduating students. Join us for this last performance of the season for ASU Wind Bands.

The MSU Wind Symphony shares the stage with the St. Olaf Band, a prestigious symphonic band established in 1891 from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. The MSU Wind Symphony is conducted by Kevin L. Sedatole and the St. Olaf Band is conducted by MSU Alumnus Henry Dorn.

The concert opens with W.A. Mozart's spirited and buoyant Symphony No. 35 "Haffner." Then hear Lansing Symphony's Principal Trumpet, Neil Mueller, perform the world premiere of David Biedenbender's new Trumpet Concerto. The concert closes with a piece by French compsoer Georges Bizet that was not discovered and perfomed until nearly eighty years after it was written. Bizet's Symphony No. 1 in C major is his only symphony and showcases his lyrical and expressive quailities while maintaining a Mozartian lightheartedness and levity.
