Nathaniel Stampley (“Cats,” “The Color Purple,” The Gershwins’ “Porgy and Bess”) reflects on experiences, family, philosophers, musicians and world leaders who influenced and guided his life and career. From Milwaukee to Broadway and beyond, Stampley intimately reflects on his own challenges and successes, infusing music from Paul Robeson, Sam Cooke, George Gershwin and Jason Robert Brown, celebrating traditional gospel music, spirituals and Broadway favorites.

Gypsy is the tale of the ultimate ambitious stage mother, fighting for her daughters' success while secretly yearning for her own. Arthur Laurents' landmark show explores the world of two-bit show business with brass, humor, heart, and sophistication. This lavish classic boasts a celebrated score by Jule Styne and Stephen Sondheim including: "Everything's Coming Up Roses," "Let Me Entertain You," "Some People," and "Together Wherever We Go."

Broadway Lights POPS Concert

Madison Symphony and Opera favorite, Adriana Zabala, joins UW–Madison Alumnus and Broadway star, Nate Stampley, for this season’s Christmas concert. Our traditional partnerships with Madison Youth Choirs, Mt. Zion Gospel Choir and our own Madison Symphony Chorus will continue as we officially kick off the Madison holiday season.
