With a career spanning over a decade, Gavin Hope brings his velvety, emotional voice and dynamic stage presence to the symphonic stage, delivering a performance that celebrates 50 years of iconic music. 

The concert will showcase timeless classics from legendary African American artists such as Smokey Robinson, Earth, Wind & Fire, Stevie Wonder, Pharrell Williams, Isaac Hayes, and The Spinners. Gavin Hope, a three-time Juno Award Nominee and former member of the renowned Canadian a cappella group The Nylons, has a rich history of musical achievements. His versatility extends to musical theatre, where he has performed in major productions like Broadway’s The Lion King and RENT in Toronto. 

In addition to his theatrical accomplishments, Gavin has shared the stage with music legends like Natalie Cole, Deborah Cox, James Brown, and Aretha Franklin. His extensive experience with Jeans n Classics has seen him perform a wide array of symphonic pops concerts across North America, bringing the music of Michael Jackson, Prince, and many more to life.

Gavin Hope is a three-time Juno Award Nominee, both as a solo headlining vocalist and also as the longest running Baritone member of the iconic Canadian A Cappella group, The Nylons. In addition to touring globally, he has recorded 6 studio albums with the Nylons, as well as two more successful recordings - solo pop album “Anything Like Mine” which nationally charted on radio top 100 and top 40, and most recently the beautifully minimalist Jazz album “For All We Know” featuring Bill King, which received rave reviews on Jazz charts and considered one of the top Canadian Jazz albums of the year by the Toronto Star. Gavin has performed in festivals around the world, including the Borneo Jazz Festival twice, as well as being a featured artist locally in the Toronto and Kensington Jazz Festivals.

Join us for an unforgettable evening at the Quad City Bank & Trust Riverfront Pops as we celebrate the iconic music of Journey! This special event, taking place on August 26, 2023, at 7:30 pm CDT in the picturesque LeClaire Park in Davenport, IA, is set to be the Party of the Summer, marking Journey's 50th Anniversary.

Experience the thrill of live music along the banks of the Mississippi River, where you'll have the chance to sing along to Journey's greatest hits, including classics like "Separate Ways," "Wheel In The Sky," "Open Arms," and the anthemic "Don’t Stop Believin’." The night will culminate in a spectacular fashion with traditional renditions of Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture and Sousa’s Stars and Stripes Forever, all set against the backdrop of a brilliant fireworks display.

This event offers a mix of general admission and reserved seating options, allowing guests to enjoy the concert from the grassy lawn of LeClaire Park or opt for a more exclusive experience with reserved permanent bandshell seating and reserved plots on the lawn. General admission tickets are priced at $22.00 for adults in advance, with children's tickets available for $5.00. Reserved seating options vary, with bandshell premiere seats at $42 and regular seats at $27, though reserved park plots have already sold out.

Gates open at 4:00 pm, with a pre-show featuring the Youth Symphony Orchestra starting at 6:30 pm before the main event at 7:30 pm. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs, blankets, and tables to enhance their concert experience, and on-site vendors will be available for food and beverage purchases, though guests are also welcome to bring their own.

Accessibility is a priority, with handicap parking available and accessible seating options in the permanent bandshell seats. Security measures will be in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all, including handheld wand screenings and bag/cooler checks.
