It’s an all-American evening! LSO is thrilled to be joined by15-time GRAMMY award winner and perhaps the most famous banjo player of our time, Béla Fleck. The concert opens with Fleck’s own Juno Concerto, followed by Gershwin’s An American in Paris. To close the program, LSO celebrates the 100th anniversary of the composition of Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue by performing Béla Fleck’s transcription for solo banjo and orchestra.

Performing his new arrangement of Rhapsody in Blue on banjo, Bela’s endless curiosity for combining genres will surely surprise and delight.
