Join the Richmond Symphony for an enchanting evening of cinematic music at the Carpenter Theatre. Under the baton of conductor Valentina Peleggi, the Symphony will perform a selection of the most moving melodies from the world of cinema. The program will feature timeless pieces from films such as *Casablanca*, *Cinema Paradiso*, and *On the Waterfront*.

The highlight of the evening will be a special performance by renowned violinist Itzhak Perlman. Perlman will grace the stage with his treasured 1714 'Soil' Stradivarius to perform John Williams’ haunting theme from *Schindler’s List*.

Under the baton of OSM Music Director Roger Kalia, the orchestra will perform a selection of iconic scores from legendary cinematic composers such as John Williams, Bernard Herrmann, Max Steiner, Danny Elfman, Jerry Goldsmith, Maurice Jarre, Hans Zimmer, and others. 

The program will feature themes from classic films like "Lawrence of Arabia" and "Casablanca," as well as music from contemporary favorites such as "Back to the Future" and "The Mandalorian." This concert promises to be a captivating experience for all film and music enthusiasts.

This concert is free but if you wish to purchase $30 tickets for the VIP experience, you will have access to our pre-concert reception across the street in Weatherwax Hall starting at 6 pm and special seating during the concert in Horace Blackman Park.
