Two musicians from the OPRL (Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège), percussionist Peter Van Tichelen and double bassist Koen Toté, join forces with vibraphonist Jan Nihoul, guitarist Costa Arvanitidis, and saxophonist Koen Nys to form a jazz quintet that's all about exhilarating sensations (and they're appropriately named Raft... for a reason!). After exploring the worlds of Avishai Cohen and Brad Mehldau, these five musicians are now delving into the repertoire of the early period of Steps Ahead, a legendary jazz fusion group from the 1980s. Steps Ahead's musical style, influenced by funk, world music, and contemporary jazz, offers a unique and stimulating musical experience.
