Dive into the enchanting world of the jungle with the Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège (OPRL) as they present "Le livre de la jungle" (The Jungle Book), a captivating spectacle for children and families. This musical adventure is set to take place on Friday, December 13th, 2024, at the Salle Philharmonique in Liège, offering performances at 18:00 and 20:00, each lasting approximately 55 minutes.

"Le livre de la jungle" brings to life the story of Mowgli, a young boy raised by wolves, as he learns the essential life lessons from the animals of the jungle. The audience will be transported into the heart of the jungle through the beautiful compositions of Belgian composer Gwenaël Mario Grisi, created especially for the OPRL. The performance is further enhanced by the imaginative staging of Emmanuel Guillaume, a long-time collaborator with the orchestra's children's programs.

The event features talented actors Colin Javaux as Bagheera and Gaël Soudron as Baloo, alongside a creative team including Satu Peltoniemi and Sarah Brunori for scenography and costumes. This production is a co-production with the Jeunesses Musicales de Liège and Brussels, celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Jeunesses Musicales de Liège.
