The worldwide popularity of traditional Hungarian music owes much to the Muzsikás ensemble, with a career spanning over 50 years. Their extensive range of instruments and musical versatility serve them well in passionately interpreting oral tradition music, enriched with forays into classical, klezmer, jazz, or even alternative rock music. Their visit to Liège at the invitation of Gergely Madaras (who studied traditional music with one of them!) is enhanced by the presence of singer Hanga Kacsó, one of the rising stars of her country's music scene.
