Dive into the heart of modernity with the Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liège (OPRL) as they kick off the new season of the Happy Hour series with an exceptional performance. The evening features the renowned French clarinetist Nicolas Baldeyrou, a versatile musician celebrated for his mastery across various repertoires, from ancient to modern instruments. Having taught clarinet in Lyon and Glasgow and performed globally, Baldeyrou brings his unique flair to Liège. Accompanied by four OPRL musicians and pianist Hasmik Manukyan, the ensemble will embark on a musical journey through trios, quintettes, and sextuors from the 20th and 21st centuries.

According to a study based on names, individuals named Franz tend to be dreamy and original, often spending most of their time writing or painting, and their imagination often surpasses reason... Without falling into stereotypes, it's hard to ignore that many composers have had this name, including Franz Schubert and Franz Liszt, but also Franz Joseph Haydn, the Belgian Franz Constant, and others in the Francis, François, or Ferenc family of names! An eclectic family to (re)discover in the company of some musicians from the OPRL!

Salle Philharmonique de Liège

This is a concert entirely dedicated to one of the greatest composers of the 19th century  . Born in Pesaro (on the Adriatic coast) in 1792 and died in Paris in 1868, Gioachino Rossini is the author of some of the most famous operas in the world. Five string players from the OPRL join forces to resonate the well-known themes from the overtures to The Barber of Seville and William Tell , but also to rediscover Rossini's chamber music through duets and sonatas, all presented with humor and lightness by Pierre Solot, exceptionally borrowed from the Music Factory series.
