The 2024/2025 season concludes its chamber cycle in an unconventional way – with baroque music. Not only will Vivaldi and Czech baroque composer Antonín Reichenauer be featured, but also instruments with "baroque" in their very names. Travel back in time with baroque bassoon and oboe!

Classical music is rarely experienced in such a relaxed, informal setting. The lunch concerts of the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra make it possible: On a flying visit to Hamburg? A bit of time during your lunch break? Looking for an idea for a group outing? Every one or two months, you can simply drop by the Brahms Foyer of the Laeiszhalle on a Tuesday afternoon. You don't even need a ticket for these chamber music delicacies. Entry is free, but places are limited (and the seats even more limited!). There is just a donation box at the exit - for anyone who enjoyed it.

Bach's Cello Suite No. 2 in D Minor, BWV 1008, selections from Ludwig Milde's 50 Concert Studies and 25 Studies in Scales and Chords, Op. 26 and Op. 24, and Alexandre Tansman's Sonatine pour basson et piano.

This event is free and open to the public, with no tickets required. For those unable to attend in person, a live stream will be available, ensuring no one misses out on this musical treat. The Galvin Recital Hall, located at 70 Arts Circle Drive, Evanston, IL 60208, offers a stunning venue with views of Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline, providing the perfect backdrop for an evening of beautiful music.
