Immigrant Voices opens Litha Symphony’s 2026 summer season with a celebration of composers who found inspiration—and opportunity—in America. From the triumphant optimism of John Williams’s Liberty Fanfare to the vibrant cultural landscapes of Jack Délano and Soon Hee Newbold, the program culminates in Dvořák’s beloved New World Symphony, a powerful tribute to America seen through new eyes.

Our Prep Orchestra further explores and develops fundamentals introduced in the SuperStrings ensemble. One Winter and one Spring concert each season feature works for the orchestra as well as performances by chamber ensembles. Orchestra members are given opportunities to play solo parts and the occasional addition of soloists and supplemental wind players allow Prepsters to perform a broad range of repertoire.

Please join us in celebrating the inaugural performance "Breaking New Ground," of New York Youth Symphony's newest program, Crescendo at Kaufman Music Center's Merkin Hall.  Launched at the start of the 2023/2024 season, Crescendo is designed for New York City string players aged 10 to 18. Led by Music Director Tanatchaya (Tanya) Chanphanitpornkit, this free program gives young New York City musicians a voice and a chance to expand their musical education through ensemble training and performances.,

New York Youth Symphony Crescendo: Breaking New Ground

Each of the 4 orchestras that comprise OYO will be performing, featuring works of Dvorak, Bizet, Rossini, John Williams, Meyer, Balmages, and Newbold. Program selections will highlight the work that each group has been doing in weeks of rehearsals this fall.

Featured performers will include the 2023 Studio String and String Orchestras Solo Competition 1st Place winners, Gus Kish and Hayun Jeong.
