First on the schedule is "Roald Dahl's Matilda The Musical, JR.," brought to life by the talented students of NSMT’s Summer Education Program. Scheduled for July 28, 2023, with performances at 10am and 1pm, this enchanting musical tells the story of Matilda, a brilliant and resilient girl with astonishing wit, intelligence, and special powers. Despite being unloved by her cruel parents, Matilda finds solace in her schoolteacher, Miss Honey. However, the school's mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, is a formidable obstacle with her disdain for children and penchant for harsh punishments. Matilda's courage and cleverness may just be what her fellow students need to overcome Miss Trunchbull's tyranny. Following Matilda, the NSMT’s Summer Education Program Students will present "THE SPONGEBOB MUSICAL: Youth Edition" on August 25, 2023, with shows at 10am and 1pm. Dive into the undersea world of Bikini Bottom in this dynamic one-hour stage musical, where SpongeBob SquarePants and his friends face the total annihilation of their world. Amidst chaos and danger, an unexpected hero steps forward to save the day, proving that the power of optimism can indeed save the world.
