Rohan De Silva has partnered with violin virtuoso Itzhak Perlman in worldwide recitals, and every notable violinist on the concert stage today. He has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, Library of Congress, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Wigmore Hall in London, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, and at the White House at the invitation of President Barack Obama in 2012 for Shimon Peres; and at a State Dinner in 2007 hosted by President George W. Bush for Queen Elizabeth.  A native of Sri Lanka, Mr. De Silva was invited in 2015 by the Prime Minister of his country to perform for U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry on his historic visit to Sri Lanka.

Itzhak Perlman, the reigning virtuoso of the violin, enjoys a superstar status rarely afforded a classical musician. Beloved around the globe for his exceptional talent, charm, and humanity, Perlman's performances are a treasure to audiences worldwide. His irrepressible joy for making music, combined with his remarkable artistry, makes every performance a memorable event. For this special evening, Perlman will be joined by his longtime musical partner, Rohan De Silva, for a traditional program for violin and piano that is yet to be announced.

Before the concert, attendees will have the opportunity to gain deeper insights into the music, musicians, and composers of the evening's program during the "Beyond The Stage Pre-Concert Talk." Hosted by the Kravis Center’s Classical Artistic Advisor, Phillip Bergmann, this talk will take place from 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm at the Rinker Playhouse. Bergmann will share interesting facts and background about the music and highlight elements of interest to all audience members, featuring interviews with special guests from the ensembles.
