The Irish Youth Choir, under Artistic Director Bernie Sherlock, is made up of Ireland's finest young singers between the ages of 18-28. It has been an important part of Irish musical life since 1982. Singers are recruited by audition, and meet during the summer course and workshop weekends throughout the year. It offers an electic advanced repertoire, inspiring and empowering young Irish singers with careful vocal and stylistic preparation in a good atmosphere, while instilling a life-long love of music. Alumni of the Irish Youth Choir have proceeded to become some of Ireland’s best conductors, choir founders, singers, teachers, and musicians.

With the guest ensemble Alturas Duo, the Choruses of UC Davis and Nicolás Dosman bring the rhythms and holiday vocal traditions of the Americas (both Southern America and Northern America) to Davis. Works include Navidad Nuestra by Ariel Ramírez (an Andean influenced folk telling of the nativity story), Aaron Copland’s Zion’s Walls (drawn from Appalachian America’s hymnal traditions), and Abreme la Puerta (a traditional Christmastime song from Puerto Rico).

Peninsula Women’s Chorus and Peninsula Girls Chorus are on our way to Spain! Come for an evening of incredible music and send us off with good wishes for a wonderful tour. Each choir will perform a set of music chosen for our travels, and the combined choir will share some of the music we’ve prepared to perform at the Festival for Women’s and Treble Voices. This festival will feature youth and women’s choirs from Spain and the United States, under the direction of Dr. Andrea Ramsey and Spanish composer Ms. Eva Ugalde

The Great Falls Symphonic Choir presents Elements of Life—a celebration of faith, love, and the human spirit through choral works by Stroope, Bruckner, Pärt, Whitacre, Handel, Bernstein, and Ramsey. This inspiring program will be performed alongside the beautiful organ at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Great Falls in tribute to Mary Moore.
