Strike up the Band, as a trio of music-inspired works take the stage! Balanchine’s iconic and jazzy Who Cares? brings the music of George Gershwin to life, while the deeply moving blues music of Etta James spills out in Trey McIntyre’s Blue Until June. Katarzyna Kozielska’s Ode offers a moving and dynamic journey culminating in an arresting pas de deux set to a haunting cover of Nothing Compares 2 U.

Founded in 1985 by Artistic Director David Parsons and Tony Award-winning lighting designer Howell Binkley, the company has toured to more than 447 cities, 30 countries, and 5 continents and has appeared at such notable venues as The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Sydney Opera House, Maison de la Dance, Teatro La Fenice, Teatro Municipal de Rio de Janiero.

Throw open the window and escape to Neverland with Wendy, John, Michael, and the one and only wild-child, Peter Pan. Trey McIntyre’s highly praised take on the boy who refused to grow up is a playful and thrilling interpretation of J.M. Barrie’s 1911 novella that juxtaposes childhood whimsy with the weighty responsibilities of adulthood. ‘Pan features spectacular flying sequences, swashbuckling sword fights, giant puppets, and of course, Tinker Bell! Set to a soaring score by Sir Edward Elgar, arranged by founding OBT Orchestra Music Director Niel DePonte, with elaborate sets by Thomas Boyd and colorful, punk-fashion inspired costumes from Broadway great Jeanne Button, this magical ballet is sure to enthrall audiences of all ages!
